It
all began in the late 1860's when a young farm boy named John T.
Hartzell made the decision that he did not wish to remain on the
family farm in Indiana. His father refused to loan him money to
purchase a horse and wagon, so he approached other relatives. He
finally managed to come up with a loan of $25, so he purchased a
horse and a huckster wagon and set out to launch his business career.
